Hi I'm Leslie

I grew up in Idaho and taught school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a retired educator and have previously taught Mathematics in Junior High School and High School. I am the father of seven sons. I like to do construction and remodeling for others in my spare time. I enjoy designing quilts and like to help my wife with these projects. I enjoy being with my children and grandchildren. I like to bake cookies and pies and deliver them to friends and neighbors.

Why I am a Mormon

I am the oldest of 10 children and when I was 16 we were sealed as a family in the Idaho Falls Temple. For years we would pray that my father might become active and we prayed loud so he could hear as he would go to his bedroom when we had family prayer. He was asked to help remodel the ward building and met some other brethren and began to attend church. The gospel has blessed my life greatly as it focuses on the teachings of Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of God and know that families are forever. I enjoy attending the temple and doing ordinances for my ancestors. I know that Jesus is the Christ an that He is my Redeemer and my Savior. I know that He loves each of us and wants to bless us. We obtain blessings by keeping His commandments and I have seen these blessings in my life. I know that God speaks through His prophets and that Joseph Smith was the prophet of the restoration of the gospel in these the latter-days. The Gospel is truly the plan of happiness provided to us by a loving Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I served a mission to Central America at age 19. Love to go hometeaching and visit with members and others in the community. I have had the opportunity to serve as a Bishop twice in the same Ward and my wife and I served a mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake. We have been called to the North Dakota Bismarck Mission to work with the Native American Units. I am grateful for these opportunities to serve others.
