Hi I'm Becca

I grew up in Southern California. I like violin, tennis, and being outside. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a student studying Elementary education. I am about to leave on a mission to Florida and I'm so excited to serve and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people there. I play the violin and enjoy playing tennis. Hiking, reading, and painting are other things I enjoy. I love doing these things with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It gives me knowledge of God and His love for all of His children. I feel that love for me through the Holy Ghost, which speaks to my mind and my heart. I have no idea where I would be without this Gospel in my life. It defines who I am and guides me each and every day. It helps me make decisions and know where I want to be, which is with my Savior and with my family. Because of my Savior, I know I can be with my family forever. I know that He loves and cares about me and that He loves each and every one of us. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. He translated the Book of Mormon and restored many plain and precious truths by the gift and power of God. The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ along with the Holy Bible. We have a living prophet on earth today and what he teaches is from God. I know these things because the Spirit has confirmed that they are true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best to "stand as a witness of God at all times and in all things and in all places." In the past I have been assigned to help teach the 12 and 13 year old girls at church, which I loved. I am preparing to serve a mission by praying and reading the scriptures each day and learning how to invite others to "come unto Christ."

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Becca
No, we do not worship Joseph Smith. We believe that, like the prophets of old, he was a man who was called by God to be His messenger on the earth. Through the power of God, he translated the Book of Mormon and restored many truths that had been lost or corrupted over time. We worship God the Father and His living Son, Jesus Christ.
